First news first: The BLACKOUT (Insert scary Twilight-Zone-like music...doo-dee-doo-doo...)

- Well, it was certainly bizarre, to say the least. I was watching CSI on my TV when suddenly, everything just went...kaput. My mom was sitting in the family room with me, and we were both perplexed. For about ten minutes, we didn't know what to do, so we just sat there in complete silence. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and decided to go play piano...about one of the only things next to reading that I do that doesn't require any electricity. Next thing I know, Uttara comes over and we rant about the power failure and how some people think that it's terrorist doings (which, for the record, I believe to be complete and total BS...); We get bored again and then decide to play Payday. So basically, all we did all night was play board games, run around in the complete darkness, watch the stars and sit around in silence...but when I think about it, that's what we usually do anyway. We're a weird bunch of people.

Next things next:

- Because of the nasty blackout, I am in fact, NOT on the road to Florida right now, even though I should be. Instead, we're leaving Monday morning because my dad needs to go into the office before he leaves and it was closed on Friday as well as all weekend...stupid NASA...you'd THINK that they'd keep places like that open under any circumstance...but I guess not.

Argh...there are so many message boards, so many television appearances...I think I need some real psychiatric help, because this sort of thing just isn't normal!
